Blueleaf Care’s plant-based cleaning solution wins National Care Award
Blueleaf Care has won the prestigious Supplier of the Year Award for Supplies at this year’s National Care Awards for n-kind: our collection of innovative plant-based biological cleaning products.
Developed internally, Blueleaf’s n-kind range of cleaning products substitutes the commonly used harmful chemicals with powerful biodegradable plant-based ingredients to deliver effective cleaning solutions. The product range also helps care homes to reduce their carbon footprint and improve the well-being of staff and residents.
The award acknowledges our ongoing support for care homes striving to improve their sustainability credentials and deliver the highest standards for carers and residents in care homes across the UK.
The judges praised our innovative product range by saying: "We were impressed by Blueleaf’s strong eco credentials. We commend Blueleaf’s new n-kind collection for not only being kind to the environment, but for making care homes look and smell much nicer as well."
Don Green, Blueleaf Care’s Business Development Director, says we are honoured to have won: “We are really thrilled to have received this award. We are extremely proud of our n-kind cleaning range and to have achieved the independent recognition of the judges that these plant-based products enable our clients to adopt cleaning with a conscience whilst improving the living and working environments,” he explains.
The new range is built around two core solutions that cover most applications throughout the home. Clean15 is a powerful 15-in-1 cleaner and deodoriser and Elimin8 is a powerful 8-in-1 cleaner and disinfectant. These two concentrate solutions can be used to make 22 different cleaning, deodorising and disinfecting products, freeing up essential storage space and significantly reducing a care home’s environmental impact.
“These products help reduce clients plastic waste and Scope 3 carbon emissions from the products manufacturing, packaging, and transportation,” Don continues: “and during Care Quality Commission (CQC) assessments, care homes can demonstrate better leadership with the adoption of non-hazardous cleaning products.”
The n-kind product range is complemented by Blueleaf Care’s knowledgeable team, who provide comprehensive training support packages, share their knowledge and provide best practice guidance to help care homes that are prioritising the safety of people, and environmental considerations.
